Reduced-flammability, low-smoke power cable with Al conductors
AVVGng(A)-LS — aluminium power cable in low-fire-hazard PVC (ng — does not propagate flame, category A) with low smoke and gas emission (LS — Low Smoke). Used for distribution networks in places with large numbers of people where fire safety is required.
The geometry is identical to AVVG; the difference is the PVC compound formulation — reduced flammability and smoke emission. Full range of cross-sections: 2.5 — 1000 mm².

AVVGng(A)-LS is a modification of AVVG for facilities with increased fire safety requirements, while retaining the savings provided by aluminium conductors. The insulation and sheath are made of low-fire-hazard PVC compounds with low smoke and gas emission.
Designation breakdown: ng — does not propagate flame in bunched installation (category A — the most stringent); LS (Low Smoke) — when burning, emits 5-7 times less smoke than conventional PVC. Used in schools, hospitals, shopping malls, high-rise buildings and metro — wherever both fire safety and savings on conductor material matter.
Conductors
Stranded aluminium, round or sector-shaped.
Insulation
Low-fire-hazard PVC compound (ng, category A).
Stranding
The insulated cores are stranded into a core, with a tape wrapping where required.
Sheath
Low-fire-hazard PVC compound with low smoke and gas emission (LS).
