Halogen-free power cable with aluminium conductors and XLPE insulation
APvPGng(A)-HF is the aluminium version of PvPGng(A)-HF. Its halogen-free sheath is intended for use in metro systems, tunnels, data centres and other places where halogen-containing materials are prohibited. The aluminium conductors make the cable an economical choice for trunk distribution networks with large cross-sections.
Sizes with technical specifications. The electrical parameters are identical to APvVG thanks to the XLPE; the geometry is similar, with a slightly larger Ø due to the halogen-free compound.

APvPGng(A)-HF is the economical aluminium version of the halogen-free power cable. It is used in 0.4 kV trunk distribution networks at sites with stricter material requirements: metro systems, tunnels, data centres, nuclear power plants, marine vessels.
Aluminium instead of copper gives a noticeable saving in weight and cost – particularly relevant for long routes with large cross-sections (from 16 mm²). The halogen-free properties of the sheath and the temperature rating (+90°C XLPE) remain the same.
Conductors
Stranded aluminium, 1–5 cores.
Insulation
Halogen-free cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). +90°C continuous.
Stranding
The insulated cores are stranded together into a cable core.
Sheath
Halogen-free polymer compound (HF). When burning, it releases no corrosive gases or acrid smoke.
