Armoured low-fire-hazard, low-smoke MV power cable
PvBVng(A)-LS is the armoured version of PvVng(A)-LS with ng(A) + LS properties. It is the most fire-safe MV cable configuration for installation in ground: it does not propagate flame in bunched installation and has low smoke and gas emission when burning.

PvBVng(A)-LS is the most protected version of MV cable in the TCG range: it combines XLPE (reliability), armour (mechanical protection for underground installation), low fire hazard (ng, cat. A) and low smoke emission (LS – Low Smoke). It is used at critical facilities with the most stringent fire safety requirements.
Typical applications: metro systems with their own power supply, tunnels beneath streets with heavy traffic, underground car parks beneath shopping malls with their own transformer substation, hospitals with a standalone power unit, high-rise buildings with MV distribution. Wherever an MV cable fire must not be allowed to spread further along the route and smoke must be kept to a minimum to allow people to evacuate.
