Single-core self-supporting covered conductor with a conductor of aluminium wires reinforced with steel wire (index “st”). The protective insulation of UV-stabilised cross-linked polyethylene allows operation in contact with tree branches and in polluted atmospheres. For 6, 10, 15 and 20 kV trunk overhead lines.

SIPst-3 wire description

SIPst-3 — self-supporting covered conductor for 6, 10, 15 and 20 kV medium-voltage overhead power lines. Structurally, it is a single-core wire with a conductor of aluminium wires reinforced with steel wire, in protective insulation of UV-stabilised cross-linked polyethylene.

Unlike conventional bare conductors, the insulation of SIPst-3 withstands contact with tree branches, which reduces the likelihood of emergency outages. It is used in areas with difficult terrain, in forested areas and in conditions of increased atmospheric pollution (atmosphere types II and III per GOST 15150).
