Flexible cord with copper conductors and PVC insulation
PVS is a flexible cord with stranded copper conductors in PVC insulation and a PVC sheath. It is used for connecting household appliances and hand-held power tools and for making extension cords. Designation breakdown: P – wire, V – PVC insulation, S – connecting (flexible cord).
Sizes with technical specifications per GOST 7399-97.

PVS is the most widely used household flexible cord in Uzbekistan and the CIS. Stranded copper conductors of flexibility class 5 in PVC insulation and a common round PVC sheath. It is produced with 2, 3, 4 and 5 cores and cross-sections from 0.75 to 16 mm². Rated voltage 380 V AC (for 380/660 V networks).
Main applications: connection of household appliances (washing machines, refrigerators, water heaters, microwave ovens), hand-held power tools (drills, angle grinders, jigsaws), manufacture of extension cords and portable leads, garden equipment (trimmers, lawn mowers, pumps). Its flexibility and elastic sheath make PVS convenient for frequent re-laying and for storage in coiled form.
Conductors (2-5 pcs)
Copper, stranded, twisted. Flexibility class 5 per GOST 22483 – provides flexibility and resistance to repeated bending.
Insulation
PVC compound with colour-coded cores. Standard colours: yellow-green – PE earth, blue – N neutral, brown/grey/black – L1/L2/L3 phases.
Stranding
The insulated cores are twisted together into a round core.
Sheath
PVC compound, white or black. Elastic and oil-resistant.
