Household round flexible copper wire

PUGNK is a round flexible household wire. An equivalent of PUGNP, but with a round common sheath. It is used for extension cords, portable extension leads and the connection of household appliances where a round wire is more convenient (through bushings, corrugated conduit, under ceilings). Designation breakdown: P – wire, U – installation, G – flexible, N – fixed (stationary), K – round.

PUGNK wire description

PUGNK is a round flexible household wire, an equivalent of PUGNP with a round cross-section. It is used where a flat shape is inconvenient – for installation through corrugated conduit, bushings and small openings, and for suspended wiring of light fittings.

The stranded class 5 copper conductors provide high flexibility and resistance to repeated bending – critical for extension cords and portable extension leads. With the same number and cross-section of cores, the round design is more compact than the flat one and allows tighter winding onto a reel.
