Self-supporting insulated wire with three insulated aluminium-alloy conductors and an insulated neutral messenger of aluminium wires reinforced with steel wire (index “st”). Insulation — UV-stabilised cross-linked polyethylene. Used for 0.6/1 kV trunk overhead lines and line branches.

SIPst-2 — self-supporting insulated wire for 0.6/1 kV overhead power lines. Construction: three aluminium-alloy phase conductors stranded around an insulated neutral messenger of aluminium wires reinforced with steel wire. All cores are insulated with UV-stabilised cross-linked polyethylene, resistant to ultraviolet radiation and weathering.
Used for 0.4 kV trunk lines, line branches and in areas with heavy ice and wind loads.

Stranded, compacted, made of aluminium alloy.
Insulated neutral messenger
Stranded, made of aluminium wires, reinforced with steel wire. Carries the mechanical load of the entire wire.
Insulation
UV-stabilised cross-linked polyethylene, black. Resistant to UV radiation and weathering.
Stranding
The three phase cores are stranded around the insulated neutral messenger.
