Installation wire with copper conductor and PVC insulation
PuV is an installation wire with a single copper conductor in PVC insulation. It is the copper counterpart of APuV, with a smaller cross-section for the same current load. It is used for fixed installation in the lighting and power networks of buildings. Designation breakdown: Pu – installation wire, V – PVC.

PuV is the principal copper installation wire for fixed electrical wiring. A single copper conductor in PVC insulation. It has an extremely wide range of applications: from small lighting circuits in housing (1.5-2.5 mm²) to industrial power installations (120-400 mm²).
Advantages vs APuV: a smaller cross-section for the same load (roughly 1-2 sizes down), compatibility with copper terminals without special adapters, and less heating. The drawback is the higher cost due to the copper. In Uzbekistan it is the most widely used wire for networks inside buildings.
Conductor
Copper, solid (cross-sections up to 10 mm²) or stranded (16+ mm²), class 1 or 2 per GOST 22483. Made from KMO copper wire rod of TCG's own production.
Insulation
PVC compound with colour coding per GOST.
